Dental Implants
If missing teeth have you missing out on the fun things in life – your favorite foods or even smiling for family photos – the team at Green Tree Dental wants to help you start enjoying life again! We provide dental implants, a permanent way to replace one or many missing teeth. Permanent dental implants look, feel, and function just like your natural teeth, so you can have the confidence to do all the everyday things that you’ve stopped doing because of missing teeth or unsecure dentures.

What Are Dental Implants?
Dental implants consist of two parts: a small titanium post that we surgically place into your jawbone in place of the root of your missing tooth (this is the actual implant), and the restoration that sits on top. The titanium post fuses with your bone to provide a solid anchor for the restoration, which we design to look just like your natural teeth.
The restoration can be a dental crown, a bridge, or an implant-supported denture. At your implant consultation, we’ll discuss which restoration is best for your needs, budget, and lifestyle. A crown or bridge is typically best for replacing a single tooth or a couple of teeth in a row, while a denture is best if you’re missing most or all teeth in a single arch.

Dental Implant Benefits
Dental implants are artificial tooth roots that are surgically placed into the jawbone to support a replacement tooth or bridge. Some of the benefits of dental implants include:
Replacing Missing Teeth
A dental procedure aimed at restoring the appearance, functionality, and overall oral health of individuals who have lost one or more teeth.
Improved Appearance
Dental implants look and feel like natural teeth, which can improve your overall appearance and self-confidence.
Improved Speech
Unlike dentures, which can slip and cause speech problems, dental implants are anchored securely in the jawbone, allowing for clear and natural speech.
Refined Solution
Because dental implants become a part of your jawbone, they are more comfortable than dentures, which can be bulky and uncomfortable.
Improved Eating
Dental implants function like natural teeth, allowing you to eat your favorite foods without any discomfort or worry about slipping.
Improved Oral Health
Dental implants protect oral health by avoiding damage to neighboring teeth and preventing jawbone loss, preserving both tooth structure and facial appearance.
Improved Comfort
With proper care, dental implants can last a lifetime, making them a more cost-effective option in the long run compared to other tooth replacement options.
Dental Implant FAQs
What are dental implants?
Dental implants are artificial tooth roots made of titanium that are surgically placed into the jawbone to support replacement teeth or bridges.
How do dental implants work?
Dental implants fuse with the jawbone through a process called osseointegration, providing a stable foundation for prosthetic teeth. This allows them to function and feel like natural teeth.
Are dental implants a permanent solution?
With proper care and maintenance, dental implants have the potential to last a lifetime, making them a long-term and durable tooth replacement option.
Who is a suitable candidate for dental implants?
Generally, individuals with good oral health, sufficient jawbone density, and healthy gums are suitable candidates for dental implants. However, a thorough evaluation by a dentist or oral surgeon is necessary to determine eligibility.
How long does the dental implant procedure take?
The duration of the dental implant procedure varies depending on factors such as the number of implants, overall oral health, and any additional treatments required. On average, the process can take several months to complete.
Is the dental implant procedure painful?
The dental implant procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia, ensuring that patients do not experience pain during the surgery. Post-surgical discomfort can be managed with medication prescribed by the dentist.
How do I care for dental implants?
Dental implants require regular oral hygiene practices such as brushing, flossing, and routine dental check-ups, just like natural teeth. Avoiding tobacco use and maintaining a healthy lifestyle also contribute to the longevity of dental implants.
What are the advantages of dental implants over other tooth replacement options?
Dental implants offer several advantages, including improved aesthetics, enhanced biting and chewing capabilities, preservation of adjacent teeth, prevention of jawbone loss, and increased overall comfort compared to removable dentures or bridges.
Are dental implants covered by insurance?
Insurance coverage for dental implants can vary depending on the insurance plan and the reason for tooth loss. It’s advisable to consult with your dental insurance provider to determine the extent of coverage for dental implant procedures.
What is the success rate of dental implants?
Dental implants have a high success rate, with studies showing success rates exceeding 95% in most cases. Proper patient selection, good oral hygiene, and regular dental visits contribute to the long-term success of dental implants.

My insurance changed so I chose Green Tree Dental for its location and reviews, and thank goodness I found them because they are a gem. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, and it really feels like there's a focus on prevention and education over just getting bodies through the door. At first I was a little taken aback by how personable everyone was, remembering little details like previous conversations and when we will be back. But it feels nice to not feel so anonymous in a doctor's office. Looking forward to more years with this office! So glad I found them!
